As of today, Monday 8th June, the paper counterpart to the UK driving licence has been abolished, as the government moves to providing more of it's services online.

Four people have been seriously injured after following a crash between two carriages on The Smiler rollercoaster at Alton Towers. The theme park is currently closed whilst an investigation from the health and Safety Executive (HSE) takes place.

Rugby star Danny Cipriani, has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after being involved in a crash. Cipriano was not injured in the crash which occurred at 5.15 am on Monday.
